Ortiz isn’t top quality going by him not able to KO Hammer, awful fight when you think about it, Ortiz is Wilder’s best win...yet he is avoided, if he can’t KO Hammer he is toast if he fights either AJ or Fury.

Really good fight. Fun as hell to watch. I totally underestimated hammer. He accounted for himself very well. Tricky and tough guy. There were moments from 6 on that I thought his tank was completely on empty. But he had the know how and moves to stay in the fight, stay tough and offer moments of retaliation. Ortiz was surprised himself by hammer’s ability. Ortiz is a damn good fighter but he looked a bit worn by the end of the fight. Good bout.

Hammer fought a smart fight by just waiting for Ortiz to throw and then come over the top with the right hand which is kryptonite for a southpaw, smart strategy!

Ortiz needed to do a bit more feints to draw out the right hand, keep the pressure and then go downstairs!

Bodyshot KO was there for him, hope this gets him the top fights he’s been wanting!

You did know that Povetkin didn't stop Hammer either? Some fighters are all but impossible to KO. I'd like to see Wilder fight this guy to see if he gets better results than Ortiz did (KO wise)

Ortiz is an old man, but he still has to run them down. Hammer only came at him when Ortiz was off balance, and he never tried for a KO. I have to agree Ortiz is slowing down, but Hammer was in survival mode. At this point AJ might be able to beat Ortiz, in London, but he would be number 2.

Didn’t fury KO hammer ? He’s not exactly known for hammer blows (see what i did there?)

Snac must work! Ortiz looked sharper and fitter than than in any of his other fights I've seen, but he still faded in the last 3 rounds. Nothing beats Father Time.

Hammer threw and landed many more punches against Ortiz than he did against Povetkin. I think he realised quite early on that Ortiz couldn't hurt him, and he gave it a real go. But with Povetkin, he knew he couldn't afford to get hit clean, so he just focused on defence and survival.

A fully fit Tyson Fury is levels above Ortiz.

He landed every shot he threw against Hammer and didn't take a single clean punch himself in the whole fight.
