Nationalism and race fuelled arguments at an all time high?

I've been here a long time, can't remember it being this bad. I'm British, but grew up in Cali, I would say that I don't like fighters based on race or country. I do tend to support British fighters but my support is not unconditional, and there have been plenty of fights where I was supporting an international fighter over a British fighter.

Anyway I do think posters now are in general more knowledgeable here in terms of knowing fighters from different countries even from prospect level, whereas back in the day...I remember in the build up to Calzaghe-lacy there were American posters who hadn't even seen a full Calzaghe fight, something like that would never happen now with access to fights (youtube), social media etc. But there also wasn't this animosity here...

It's ok to support a fighter from the same background, but the hate threads have to stop, it's boring. Let's keep it to boxing fellas

The problem is fat Yank Wilder fans, plain and simple. The fellow is at best the third best in his division. But certain people round here act like the two best fighters in the division should dance to his drum. And they don't just act like he's great, they throw shade on the two best Heavyweights at every possible opportunity. The two best happen to be Brits. This isn't a new thing, it's always been the case. A Brit can openly say RJJ was a great fighter, or BHop has a great resume. But you could count on one hand the amount of fat Yanks who would give Calzaghe props without throwing in a couple of insults.

I've not bothered with NSB much lately because it's just the same handful of UK nerds spamming threads about Wilder. This place couldn't be more boring right now.

This site has been st0rmfr0nt 2.0 since circa 2014 or so. Keep up man. It used to just be Freedom and a few others now we have a plethora of mangina's recycling trash threads on the daily. Observe the tears of Robbie Barrett, earl hickey and Madison boxing

I doubt they are at an all time high. Sh^t used to be much worse on forums. I wasn't here specifically but have effed with a few forums & there was far more sh^t & more outrageous sh^t back in the day.

It's always been this way we just have more technology to spread the hate

I think there were way more race riots in the 50's 60's such.

It's always been this way. I joined in-between Floyd-Hatton and Calzaghe-Hopkins, some of the exact same threads were being made back then
