Whytes is better because for a champion Wilder with several title defenses and just a real awkward career spanning ten years you have to do a double take on it. Wilders career is supposed to be much better so comparing a non title holder to a champion who lost his last fight as well tells the story here .

Scott was ranked 25th when Wilder fought him.

I'd say it's about even honestly. Think Wilder's loss to Fury was a lot more telling than Whyte's loss to AJ though. Whyte has also improved massively, whereas Wilder still fights the same as he did on his Pro debut, no hope for him changing now.

Told ya'll, Luis Ortiz is not what some people make him out to be.
He fought a guy that hardly throws any punches, yet he couldn't at
            least make him quit.
Yeah, that's Wilder's only meaningful win.

Ortiz looked awful against Hammer, he took straight leather and got buzzed... I'd give Chisora a chance against Ortiz after that display.
Whyte's resume better than Wilder's and easily too.

When? The only time he was "buzzed" was from a headbutt lol, he pretty much dominated and walked through Hammer's shots.

Whyte got hurt WAY worse against Helenius FFS.

Mid rounds, hammer was on the ropes, caught ortiz with a counter straight right (i think) and ortiz went stiff, peddled back letting hammer off the ropes and literally turned off the gas for about for 25 secs... Wilder/AJ in that position would of finished him with ease (see wilder fight)

I'll go find a vid and find out when it happened so you can see bud, brb

edit - but yeh whyte did get hurt and worse, i can't disagree with that...whyte's wins are more impressive however
