This entire thread is like pissing in the wind... it really doesn't matter who ducked who, or whether no one ducked anybody... at the end of the day, these fights didn't happen, and the only people that missed out are us, the fans.

I know Super_Lightweight spends his evenings drawing pictures of these imaginary match-ups with his crayons and coloring pens and then **********s over it, but for the rest of us, wouldn't these have been wonderful fights to see and talk about?

Jones Jr defended his titles against Thomas Tate, Antoine Byrd, Vinny Pazienza (washed-up and blown-up), Tony Thornton (came out of retirement), Eric Lucas (even played a basketball game before running to the fight) and 5ft5 Bryant Brannon when he could of fought Gerald McClellan, Nigel Benn, Chris Eubank, Michael Nunn, Graciano Rocchigiani and Frank Liles instead.

rjj would of beat them both. every time eubanks leaped in with those unschooled shots rjj would have a field day just dodging and countering. benn had a shaky chin, and wasnt as fast at 168 as he was at 160. rjj takes him out in three rounds or less, without even being hit by any real power shots.

Roy would of reduced Eubank to a tumbling amateur !

Roy against Nigel would be a case of who landed the right power shots first, unless it went the distance with Benn losing decisively. . . .

Eubank just 'leaped in with unschooled shots'? He had the best left jab in the game, when he got it working.

Benn's spring was second to none, Jones would be playing with fire.

I think Jones didnt duck the brit but he was not as good as a promoter than he is as a boxer.

That was promoter do to get fight and it very hard for Jones to get a fight in Britian only if he wa in with another guy does his promotion instead of him some of the big names.

I admit though, that long, loopey overhand right that Eubank would throw was just ridiculous!

Another flaw of Eubank was that it looked like he had never really learned how to cut off the ring.

yes, he had poor footwork, poor balance, and he would kind of take a big step into his jab to body or right hand to body that was so telegraphed that a guy like rjj or toney would counter it every time. eubank was a fun guy to watch, though.
