Why the hell would he give a champ 50-50 when he completely dominated him the first time they fought? Where's your proof in Roy not wanting to risk it? He stated throughly that he'd kick hopkins' ass multiple times in the video. If Hopkins really wanted Roy he woulda said **** the 60/40 lets get it on, but he didn't do that. He did all of his talking like he deserved another shot against Roy. Roy shouldn't need to fight him twice to get him to shut up. There's no reason to give Hopkins a rematch when he got blown out like that. If it was a closer fight and, if Roy decided not to fight i'd see what your coming from. The fight wasnt close at all. Roy could've beat him with his left hand and that's exactly what he did the first fight.

hopkins deserved 50% he was a champ too(it takes 2 people to make a super fight like that so 50-50 was only fair).........and 50% would have been a lot.....that fight would have gone through the roof in ppv ratings........it would have been massive
demanding more money is just a easy way out.......yes im sure roy would have took the fight at 60-40......the extra money would have made it worth the risk of losing his p4p rating,plus the fact that he had commited himself on tv....but i really do not think jones wanted to fight hopkins.......if he wanted to he would have let it happen.
jones looked aggrevated and annoyed in the interview.....he just didnt want to even be talking about it...

now before you guys shout me down.........im not suggesting rjj would have lost.........he had unbeliveable skill.............but hopkins was a very risky fight when his other options were much easier.......he wanted easy

There is a little history between Roy Jones and Eubank in a way. Not alot of people know this but Roy Jones met Mica Paris at the Benn v Watson fight and they stayed in contact by phone, but it sizzled out. Not alot of people know this but Mica Paris is Chris Eubank's cousin! I'm not sure they actually dated though, her and Roy Jones.

If you haven't noticed Jone doesn't really give a **** about the media. It would be fair at a 50-50 split, but why should he give Hopkins that much credit when Jones had already beat him once? An easy way out? Like I said before if Hopkins really wanted Jones he would've said let's do it, but instead he just kept talking. I doubt Jones would take a dive just for the money or to harm his P4P rule. I can understand why Jones might have been aggravated, because he shouldn't of had to bother with Hopkins wanting a rematch who he already knocked outta the boat once, why do it again?

Of course Hopkins wanted easy, everyone wants the easy way, but in boxing and life. Nothing is easy! He should've had to prove himself to Roy for a change, by taking the fight under those circumstances. Why wouldn't of Roy not wanted to go near BHOP? If the fight was actually closer then it was, I imagine Roy would've fought him again and do the exact thing he did last time.

Hey juice, I know this. Eubank got his ass beat twice by Collins and twice by thompson! Im damn sure Roy Jones didnt fear Eubank. Read the excerpt posted on here from Eubanks own autobiography. Yeah, Roy was real scared of him.

i just think that roy priced himself out of the fight.....
hopkins had vastly improved since they originally fought..
hopkins was to proud to accept 60-40..........i suppose he could have said yea lets go...........but so could jones....
