Mikey Garcia started a new training program for his fight with Spence. Before that all he would do is bag, pad, running, jump rope and sparring.

Floyd trained old school but late in his career I'd see him using some weight machines and other modern techniques like cryotherapy.

Manny Pacquiao might be the last guy to train "old school".
I think Errol Spence trains pretty old school. Lots of pushups dips pullups in a circuit, long distance runs, minimal weights. I know for a fact calithenics are more often used in fight gyms ive been in, including Muay Thai. Recovery is much better with these than weights, theres a certain stiffness that comes with weights, particularly lower back and shoulders. Even Anthony Yarde says this now, who you'd swear was a modern training method guy.

Calisthenics, bag work, running, and sparring are old school and are still the gold standard for training fighters.

Chopping wood is also a great old school training method that should be used more.

All the fancy modern plyometrics and weight lifting will never replace the tried and true basics.
