Is Canelo's legacy tainted with the shady judging?

I mean, seeing how in this board, almost everyone dislikes Canelo or lowkey dislikes him, with the exceptions of the hardcore slurpers. Even posters that I consider non biased they don't talk about the skills of Canelo against top opponents, it's always how "judges" is gonna give it to Canelo unless you outright dominate him. Judges and Canelo is so connected that you can't say Canelo in a sentence without judges in it.

On top of that, casual fans disliked Canelo, everywhere I go in facebook, instagram etc. etc. There's always a crowd on the top comments on how Canelo is a thief, the golden goose project, and the child born from fishnets., citing the Mayweather, Golovkin, Lara, Trout score cards.

Is this how Canelo would be remembered if he ends his career a few years from now?

Tainted over judging, not so much. Tainted over failing a drug test, I would say yes. And before people start going into their bag of reasons why he did...he still did regardless of circumstance. It happened and it's never going to go away.

He had 6loses removed from his record before he came to America and also tested positive with a shady excuse. Tainted judges is really not proven

He has only once been throughly dominated so how can we say shoddy judging. The wasn't a complete wash either

I think this is down to personal opinion. On official paperwork there is nothing that states there was anything fishy or su****ious about any of his fight so maybe this era of Boxing fans may grumble but it will all be soon forgotten and Canelo and his legacy will be judged on what they read and lets be honest it makes for good reading.

i think the failed test put a bigger dent on his legacy.

It’s true. He had 5or 6 fights removed from his record once he came to America. They used some bs excuse. There’s been several threads on it

Yea all hes really known for over here in uk is for corruption with judges and that tiny ban he got away with. Hes an excellent fighter but hes synonymous with corruption.
