In New York City on Wednesday afternoon at the Hard Rock Cafe, a multi-city press tour kicked off announcing the huge champion vs. champion unification fight between WBC, WBA middleweight titlist Canelo Alvarez (51-1-2) and IBF middleweight titlist Daniel "Miracle Man" Jacobs (35-2) on Cinco De Mayo weekend at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

Fishnets is in the powder again. Canelo won't be the "absolute" champion at middleweight unless he gets the wbo strap as well.

No doubt Canelo is currently one of the sports bravest warriors and fears no man. but he isn’t and will never be anywhere near Chavez’s level as far as his mental makeup for his willingness to win and it’s not a knock on him at all .

Chávez to me in his prime when I watched his fights possessed a once in a generation fortitude who always seemed to be willing to walk through Hell to get the job done and more then willing to die in the ring if that’s what it meant . The opponent could be bigger , stronger , more skilled or have any advantage but it didn’t matter because Chavez wasn’t leaving that ring with a L

Canelo showed massive nuts in the Golovkin rematch and was truly impressive to watch him fight like that and make everyone eat their words complaining about how he fought in the first fight , but he has also shown in some fights like Golovkin 1, Lara , Mayweather fights he can sometimes get complacent if things aren’t going his way and doesn’t always or willing to throw caution to the wind and let it all hang out to secure the W. which to me Chávez always did

Oscar needs to stop trying to compare canelo fights to all time classics. He predicted Canelo vs Chavez jr would be another Barrera vs morales and it was an insult to anyone who knew boxing. This fight should be better than that, but it won't be anywhere near Chavez vs Taylor as canelo is nowhere near as aggressive and determined as Chavez and jacobs doesn't have the speed nor the tenacity of Taylor.

He's a promoter man, he's trying to promote the fight. Of course he's supposed to say things like that to get people to tune in....
Why do fans like you get so defensive when a promoter compares his fighter to a fighter of the past??
                    What's he supposed to say?
Don't watch the Canelo-Chavez fight, it's a piece of shet fight???
All promoter's hype fights man, that's their job!
So just sit back and enjoy the fight cause this is a be a great fight that either fighter can win but I'm rolling with Canelo!
