The WBC makes a new belt every weekend for a fight. They're as ridiculous as the WBA.

You must not be paying close attention.

There is a very big difference between the WBA attempting to crown Super champions, World champions and Gold champions in every division and the WBC occasionally giving the winner of a big fight a special looking belt.

Canelo vs Jacobs is for the WBC world championship, but to commemorate Cinco de Mayo weekend, the winner gets a special looking belt. That's not the same as crowning three separate world champions in every division.
