The size difference between these 2 will be comical. Vargas isn't big at 147 and Munguia's frame wouldn't be out of place at 168.

Jessie Vargas is wayyyy too small for 154, he's a natural 140.. If anything munguia is a natural 160 pounder draining his body

Vargas hasn't fought at 140 in half a decade he's also 5'11 he can't make that weight anymore he's a full fledged welterweight. The problem is he has to move to 154 because Hearn or DAZN don't have any of the big names at welterweight and Brook just turned down the fight. PBC owns the welterweight division and Top Rank has the other champ.

They gotta put guys in with Munguia his size. He cant fight these smaller guys forever. Eventually hes going to throw the same punches and it’s going to be a charlo counter or hurd or worst..Canelo or GGG or big Charlo, jacobs, etc at. Its going to be hitting a wall and having rockets as responses.

Still super young so i dont think he’s going to end up on some Angulo level and Jesse has skills and will make it tough..but... i’d rather see him in against an overmatched big body than a smaller one who was never big at 47 to begin with. An okay fight for his age I suppose but how much longer is that going to be the case?

Vargas doesn't have the power to even buzz Munguia, this fight would play out nearly identical to Munguia's beatdown of Ali.
