So he doesn't like it when someone else does it to his fighters right? What goes around comes around.

I 100% agree. He is, however, TBE boxing business man. He used his superb boxing skills, and played the system. He exploited every loophole in boxing to its fullest, and is now rich beyond belief.

I respect his success, but as far as a fighter goes, he's an ATG but that's it.

I could see why Oscar would send this letter, Richard Schaefer and Al Haymon stole a lot of Golden Boy fighters when Richard worked for Oscar. Makes sense

Garcia has always been a fan of Floyd and you can see it when he tries to implement the Philly Shell. I think young boxers not only admire the Pretty Boy boxing style but also how he figured out how to become very wealthy in the sport when others (like Larry Merchant) were saying he wasn't bankable.

If Garcia is under a contract with a non-compete clause, I fail to understand why such a letter is necessary. It's covered in the contract. If you don't have such a term, you deserve to lose the guy.

It also doesn't help that Ryan is starting to train with Canelo which I bet Oscar had to pitch to Canelos team about which I am sure was not easy. Say what you want about Canelo and his past but that man breaths and lives boxing, not so much Ryan Garcia.

Add to the fact that Vergil Ortiz, this Eduardo Hernandez, Lamont Roach Jr. and a few other Golden Boy prospects are on the cusp of getting title eliminators so there focus is about shift to other prospects more.
I don't think Ryan is trying to sign with Floyd or any other nonsense. He's just goofy as phuk and doesn't seem very smart and immature. He went to the Tank fight because duh he's been calling him out and trying to fight him. He went to the Floyd party because he's trying to be a celebrity and it was a big party with a lot of celebs he wants to be seen with celebs to boost his social media following. I think it's a simple as that. Oscar and Floyd have beef and Ellerbe threatened to get lawyers involved with tampering and now Oscar is doing the same. That's just tit for tac.

The real story here is Garcia. Nobody was following him on Twitter and Instagram before Golden Boy signed him. He was just a talented young fighter. He's already way ahead of every other top prospect who signed. Ahead in popularity and on a the cusp of getting a title shot. They basically begged Canelo to let him in their camp. You got top prospects in the golden boy stable that might be more talented then him that would love the opportunities this kid has gotten. Would love to be headlining and getting all this attention from Golden Boy. The real concern is I'm starting to worry if trying to be famous is more important then boxing? He's got a TV show he's in, I just found out from the comments in here that he got some serious drama with a baby momma and a kid on the way. He's got a lot of distractions and drama and he's not even a world champ yet. lol

Garcia was a fan of Floyd as a kid and even went out to his gym. But he turned Mayweather Promotions down just like every other top promoter who were all begging to sign him. Just like Shakur Stevenson an even bigger fan of floyd lot of these kids fighting now grew up fans of Floyd. But none of them are actually signing with Floyd they just like the celebrity aspect that Floyd has gained. But Floyd didn't just become a celebrity overnight he put in the work especially when he was on the grind trying to become a world champ his training and focus to boxing was second to none. These kids today want to be a celebrity like Floyd without putting in the work. Floyd earned that by years of winning titles and beating HOFers then the money and celebrity came.

I wouldn't really call it stealing! Check out what B-Hop had to say about it:

                      June 3, 2014:

"It's going to be very, very difficult for Golden Boy to keep the credibility of the brand without Richard Schaefer," stated unified WBA & IBF light heavyweight champion Bernard Hopkins, who shared his thoughts on the recent news that former Golden Boy Promotions CEO Richard Schaefer has resigned from the position. Hopkins, who is a partner in the company, made it clear that he's uncertain about who he'll be working with when it comes to his future bouts.

"A guy like Richard – and let me say that we don't always agree on everything – really can't be replaced. I'll reiterate: Richard Schaefer cannot be replaced. Things will continue to be run (at GBP), but they won't –can't – be the same. Richard is a man who is stern when he needs to be stern, and fair when he needs to be fair. It's hard to find people like that in boxing. He's one of the biggest and most respected players there is. Even the people who don't care for him too much on a personal level have got to respect him when it comes to the way he does his job," Hopkins stated in an interview with Bernard Fernandez of thesweetscienc.com.

"Think about it. Who really ran Golden Boy? I'm not talking about popping up in the office once or twice a year. Who was there, doing the deals, on a day-to-day basis," he continued. ""Oscar's been talking to certain people [Bob Arum]. He's been tweeting. He showed up at Canelo's (Alvarez) camp. OK, he's rededicated, he's gotten himself together, he's burying the hatchet (with Arum). Great. But with him doing all that, is anybody really surprised that this thing with Richard happened? The only thing that's a shock is that it took this long to go down..."

"No matter what, though, what's going on now between them won't affect me from getting in the ring and winning another title. I want to continue to unify the light heavyweight division, and with two titles I'm in better position to do that now, regardless of the shakeup. I could even promote my next fight myself. It won't be an emotional decision. I'm going to align myself with the best, with the smartest, and with whoever can do the most for me at this stage of my career," he added. "I don't have a contract with Al Haymon, but I wouldn't mind having one because he knows the business and he knows how to make the moves to get you where you need to be."
