  • Comments Thread For: Dirrell-Yildirim PBC on FS1 Tripleheader Peaks At 366,000 Viewers

The final televised boxing card of February was pretty much in line with the rest of the month-down from the start of the year, but with plenty of room for growth. Saturday's live installment of Premier Boxing Champions (PBC) drew a combined 358,000 viewers across all Fox Sports platforms. The main FS1 telecast-topped by Anthony Dirrell's technical decision win over Avni Yildirim live from the Minneapolis Armory in Minneapolis, Minnesota-drew 291,000 viewers according to Nielsen Media Research.

Caleb Plant must have some pull to have his card peak over 900K

Uzi vs. Plant was a better match up! If Quillin beats Truax, Caleb should fight him, and preferably in the Midwest! I'm looking forward to the return of David Benavidez, and I expect to see Eubank Jr. at the Barclay's soon! 168 is heating up nicely!

Claressa Shields and Mikaela Meyer are bigger draws than Dirrell.

Lol that's what boxing fans do across the board. Get fooled by the base numbers that promoters and media shills put out, or fighters too (I'm TBE cuz I beat 2 billion current of former CHAMPIONS!) meaning any of the top 4 current titlists in any of 2-3 different weight classes to choose from at any time, plus another 10+ former titlists hanging around those weights at any given time, which means what that stat REALLY says is, "Floyd beat guys in the top 20 around his weight class repeatedly") because they refuse to look at context before drawing conclusions.

Stats like those signify nothing by themselves, you have to look more closely to find out the truth of the quality of Floyd's opponents, to use the same example, but boxing fans just look at the base stats and get fooled.

Wow. Isn't that like, unheard of bad numbers for live FS1 sports? Or am I overstating it? Those remind me of like a lot of Showtime numbers since Espinoza and Haymon went to Showtime, or like some HBO numbers in the last year once they were already out of boxing. Fox getting out of boxing too?

How about Eubank Jr vs Quillen at Barclays?

Anybody know when David gets to fight for the WBC title again?

Immediately, unless the WBC enforces a rematch between Dirrell and Yildrim
