Amazed he never won a title. He should have fought Ward in the Super 6.

He beat Froch who should of been DQ'd. I had Andre winning like 9-10 rounds he schooled Carl who was throwing him to the ground, holding and hitting, hitting after the bell, hitting on breaks, throwing elbows and headbutts. And GUESS who gets a point deducted???
I think the Froch fight and Abrham took his heart from him???
The Abraham situation was such a spectacle I kinda discount that bad decision (to me) in the Froch fight & how that coulda impacted him. First L's often have big consequences with the hearts & minds of fighters. And I do seem to recall the ref having his part now that you mention it. I haven't watched that fight except live back in the day, but I do recall getting a lil too emotional over the refs work as well especially the point taken.
After his acting against Jose I quit rooting for him. IMO he needed to get rid of his brother and trainer a long time ago. He wasnt getting better or learning anything new. And both are high maintenance he dont need.
Lomachenko dad would be a GREAT trainer for him. I mean he already has 1 Matrix why not train another one?
Or Derrick James
Brian McIntrye
Andre Rozier
Would be good trainers as well.
And yea I never was a big Anthony fan. First time I saw him fight was at the MI Golden Gloves & he lost (legitly as I recall it) & he threw his 2nd place trophy on the ring floor like an ass hole. That was a lasting first impression for me.
And Leon Lawson Jr showed how much of a **** head he is in that Jose aftermath.
His son (Leon III) just turned pro & I'm rooting on him taking after Dre more than Anthony or his dad.

Agree a new trainer woulda been a good move earlier on. I think its too lil too late now.

Andre kept trying to get up against Jose but Anthony kept SCREAMING stay down. Then he was fighting guys who PAID $$$ to see the fight. You cant be a great and half a corner that disorganized and unprofessional....
Caleb Plant is a good boxer but his corner outside his cutman is a JOKE as well. They were trying to shove a water bottle down his throat with the cap still on. And had 2-3 guys giving him instructions at the same time.
You can go only so far on skill alone just look at Kov. And Boone.
