Injuries are to be expected for boxers when fights are made 7+ years past their expiration date. As Roach said, not only was Pacquiao's shoulder injured, but Floyd's hands were all messed up too. That's why you never marinate fights like this. When will boxing learn? They would have made hundreds of millions years and years before they eventually did it, so that is no excuse. They would have made hundreds of millions MORE on the rematch and maybe trilogy fight too, but because they waited too long to make the first one, they lost out on all that money. Fans lose, fighters lose, the sport loses, everyone loses. What a dumb way to do business, and run the sport. The "Floyd blueprint" can't die soon enough in this regard.

There is no good reason at all for these guys to rematch, other than to fatten their wallets at the expense of fans. Both are shells of their former selves, so the outcome, with regard to legacy, will have what significance exactly? The result will mean about as much as Soto-Rios, but it will be a lot less fun to watch. I Don't like Floyd, but respect his amazing skills. But why is this relevant? It's not Floyd's job to take care of his opponent! Oscare De La Huye knew about Chavez eye injury 3 days prior to their first encounter, AND??? Chavez admitted it himself, it was his fault and period.
