Yup Hearn has been taking shots at Mike's "Sources" and discrediting a lot what Mike has been reporting for a while now. Mike took a shot back at him today after the announcement for the April 26 card. lol

      Simple. Damage.

Because this isn’t the amateurs. Defense counts in the eyes of the judges. Damage counts in the eyes of the judges. You can land the same amount of punches but if the other guy outlands you in power punches or makes you miss so often or makes it seem like there’s a huge difference in the quality of the shots landed? Yeah..that matters.

It’s no coincidence that Canelo outlanded him in overall power punches and the results were clearly evident and not just visually on the face but by the pace of the fight and the flow of it.

You dont have to like it, but Canelo won that second fight.

I’ll take 60 jabs over the 30 powershots that Canelo was hitting him with EVERY day of the week and so will the judges. No brainer. I’ll take two jabs over one clean power punch any day.

How did you score the fight, round by round?

I just think it's an odd comment to say a guy was beaten up in a fight, especially the first half, when he was clearly the better boxer in the first half of the fight. And a jab from GGG is essentially a power punch, as you know.

Canelo definitely did some good work throughout the fight and I don't think GGG was up 5-0 as the punch stats would suggest, but he was certainly controlling the fight throughout. He may not have controlled almost every moment as he did the first fight, but he was still the aggressor throughout the fight and even when boxing on the back foot, which he did in round 5 I believe, he boxed extremely well.

You can't really get 'beaten up' when outlanding a guy consistently in every round like GGG did the first 5. To neglect GGG's good work in those first five rounds and only focus on the good shots Canelo scored indicates bias.

I appreciate your passion for the sport though and encourage you to keep studying the sweet science and maybe give that fight another, unbiased look. Try with the sound off, always helps. Best of luck and God bless.

I don't believe a word hearns says. I'm with Mike on this. It's in hearns best interest to say ggg is getting no equity. If he admits it, every fighter he'll be trying to sign on DAZN will be asking for equity now.

Skipper and De La Hoya know each other well. It’s obvious De La Hoya has set a plan to boost the Canelo brand and GBP when GGG inevitably gets knocked out. DAZN wants to own this footage. This is why Abel Sanchez is pressuring GGG to take the bag because it’s hard to know if Sanchez will ever get pays like this again, and he has taken advantage of the limelight being part of Canelo fights.

We’ve got fans here believing that GGG Promotions is some new mythical and must-have investment... cmon.

This is why I’m telling everyone that GGG needs to go to PBC. He will boost his legacy without GBP affiliation and become a 2 Divisin Champ under Haymon.

But GGG diehards say “ehhh feed him to Canelo he’s already past prime and he gets a bag.”
Frankie I'm not trying to pick a fight with you or insult you but I do not see your point. I'm a Golovkin fan and if he wants to fight Canelo it's his decision. I believe he won the last two fights but most likely will lose a third fight. If that's what he wants to do then he should go for it win or lose. If he's tired of the drama that comes with a Canelo fight then screw it. Both are fine with me.
