It’s about getting him on the platform, because collectively, we’re working together to make this work,” Hearn said about DAZN. “We have to make DAZN work. So it’s my responsibility, Oscar De La Hoya’s responsibility, Canelo’s responsibility and Anthony’s responsibility to work collectively for the good of the platform. Equity isn’t the right word [for what Golovkin is getting from DAZN]. There’s all kinds of incentives. Fighters have been known in the past to have shares in a company or to buy shares in a company. So the way the deal is structured could be amazing,” Hearn said about Golovkin’s deal with DAZN.

Having shares or buying shares in a company = equity.

Reason hearn is saying this is because he dosen't want other fighters to ask for equity as well.
Yeah, you actually have to watch the video. When asked if GGG will get equity within DAZN he said no.

The bolded part is in response to a different question, about whether as a rule, fighters are offered equity in DAZN.

dude you are taking 2 quotes from different questions that were mashed together. Your link was blocked by boxingscene but I was able to search for the article that comes from the most bogus bullshyt website that sucks off GGG and posts long winded bias opinion pieces.

Hearn was asked flat out if it was true and said No. He's not getting Equity. Later in the video he was asked about fighters in general being offered Equity or shares and said sure that has happened for other companies and can be great for fighters.

GGG never lost either of the first 2 fights.... did you actually watch the fights?

        GGG WON the 1st fight.

2nd fight was draw a AT WORST for GGG.

The series is upside down because of GBP deep pockets and Adelaide Byrd

Legit, GGG should still be undefeated, or be undefeated with a draw.

I disagree. I remember thinking GGG looked like he won the 1st fight But after adding up total rounds it was a draw. I can see that argument that GGG won a veeery close fight though

No way GGG won the 2nd. He tried to rally but really, he got beat up for most of that fight especially the first half.

GGG lost and theres no shame

Hearn disputes a lot of what Coppinger says. I noticed he was making fun of him on twitter the other week about his 'source'.

Do you really think they would be ****** enough to give ggg something they didn’t give AJ or Canelo?
And you know exactly what GGG is going to do without him saying a single word on the subject? Since you know his every move in advance you should tell us when his next fight will be and who he will be fighting. Who are these wonderful legacy fighters who care so much about boxing and don't care about how much money they make for each fight? Name some of them please.

How do you reconcile saying GGG got 'beat up for most of that fight especially the first half' when he won the first 5 rounds by 28 punches, winning every round by Compubox?

Canelo Alvarez had a 143-116 edge in power connects and landed 39% to 35% for Gennady Golovkin, who landed 70 power shots over the last six rounds after landing just 46 in the first six rounds. GGG landed just 6 body shots after landing 8 in the first fight. Canelo landed 46 body shots in the rematch. Canelo threw 117 more punches in rematch and landed 33 more. GGG threw 176 more punches in rematch and landed 16 more.

I doubt DAZN would be ****** enough to give a fighter who’s on his last legs of his career equity when he isn’t a proven draw without boxing’s biggest superstar!

Then again, DAZN has hosted fights where fighter A is from Columbia and fighter B is from Florida and they’re fighting in fûçking Oregon!

can’t wait for ggg to retire, that’s one less hype job gone, hopefully Broner is next!

The only realistic reason why DAZN is interested in GGG is because, and I’ll say again because many diehard GGG fans don’t get it, they want GGG to be served to Canelo. Canelo is the commodity at DAZN since he’s their biggest investment.

Skipper and De La Hoya know each other well. It’s obvious De La Hoya has set a plan to boost the Canelo brand and GBP when GGG inevitably gets knocked out. DAZN wants to own this footage. This is why Abel Sanchez is pressuring GGG to take the bag because it’s hard to know if Sanchez will ever get pays like this again, and he has taken advantage of the limelight being part of Canelo fights.

We’ve got fans here believing that GGG Promotions is some new mythical and must-have investment... cmon.

This is why I’m telling everyone that GGG needs to go to PBC. He will boost his legacy without GBP affiliation and become a 2 Divisin Champ under Haymon.

But GGG diehards say “ehhh feed him to Canelo he’s already past prime and he gets a bag.”
