Remember the old threads about 168 being a monster division?

Certain posters used to love to bash ggg and the mw division. Saying how jacobs is trash and badou jack and degale are so much better. 168 was considered by many ******s on here one of the best divisions in boxing. They said groves, degale, direll, and jack were all p4p fighters and 168 would wipe the floor with 160.

    Well that aged real well.

Guess we won't know unless they fight each other?

I don't understand what you're trying to say. Personally I've always viewed both DeGale and Jack as limited. The pool of talent at 160 is much deeper in terms of actual skills and boxing ability overall. Whoever made those threads (not that I've seen any myself, just taking your word for it) has no real knowledgable insight into boxing.

Umm.. I'm usually on your side, but that never happened. 168 was never seen as glamorous or stacked. You could argue it was good during / after the tourney, but it's definitely been absolute trash for 5 years.

This is a completely different topic. He wanted to fight chavez jr and frotch. He was willing to go to froch's hometown but frotch decieded to stay retired.

I agree but it was hyped up in this forum and people always critizicsed ggg for not moving up to 168 where there are more challenges for him like groves and degale and jack. You must not remember people saying degale and jack p4p are much better than danny jacobs. Then when jacobs beat traux everyone went quiet.

Ward isn't there anymore. That's why.

I think Froch and Ward were still in the division when that was being said.
