He called it his most difficult fight, but yes he made it look like it was fairly easy (thought it wasn't the shutout that some will now claim), because he was the far superior boxer... what no one can claim is that Froch was 'humiliated' - Carl was fighting back strongly right up to the final bell and never looked like he was just accepting he was going to lose. Nor did he ever really let Dre get comfortable and dictate the pace of the fight (which was a trap even the far more capable Kovalev fell into in their first fight). Andre had to fight for control every minute of their fight.

There's very, very few occasions where I'd say a boxer was humiliated anyway, and a fighter who strives for the win to the very last minute against a boxer who was technically superior in every way would never fit that description in my book.

      - -What, you Son of Gollum shoeshine boy for his Imelda Marcos shoe collection?

If he could do it, it woulda been done, but nobody wants to fight his dirty ref and judges for JCPenny purses.

He would F'em all up real bad. Even today he would be favored. Why is this even a discussion?

Well, you are wrong about Calzaghe. He'd have beaten Ward, simple as that.

You are also forgetting that RJJ fought at SMW.

You could argue that Ward had a better resume at SMW, on account of Roy only having so many fights there.

But the simple fact is that Roy at SMW was better than Ward at SMW. Roy at SMW would have humiliated Ward at SMW. Roy's best win at SMW (Toney, even a drained Toney) was better than Ward's best win at SMW.

Ward's best 'win' at SMW was against Kessler, where he literally headbutted his way to victory.

Ward doesn't belong on the same planet as RJJ's jockstrap.

Prime Ward beats just about everybody lol.

Yes a lot of people disliked his style, but I found him very entertaining. He was never in a bad fight everytime he fought a TOP guy.
