Comments Thread For: DeGale: I Have To Review The Fight, I Just Didn't Do Enough

James DeGale will consider retirement after losing his grudge match with Chris Eubank Jnr at The O2 Arena in London. The Olympic gold medallist and former IBF super-middleweight champion demonstrated further signs of decline as he lost for the third time as a professional, and against an opponent he would have expected to convincingly outbox at his peak.

Man after all the Pre-Fight banter from Degale
    I expected a KO
Degale should have listened to the advice of Paulie in the corner
He also needed to stop grabbing & holding every round
Cong**** to Eubank Jr & his new trainer
    Good Fight

no , did not do it well. eubank was waiting for degale to attack to counter. and going backwards with an atrocious guard ended up costing him the fight as 2 scorecards were quite close. i think he underestimated eubanks handspeed.

wasnt a case of not throwing enough punches

DeGale looked so much better than he did against truax, but this was so one sided. ****, I guess bein in survival mode for nearly the entire fight kept that KO off the books, but Christ...two bogus scorecards? jesus. they Miata scores
Half the rounds on DeGales holding alone.

Degale is shot to pieces. He needs to let it go.

He looked worse than both truax fights. his punch resistance is totally gone.

Before the fight I reluctantly wanted DeGale to win, not really a fan of either boxer.

But having seen Degale come in with no game plan and just throwing single shots, really glad he lost to be fair.
He hasn't been the same since the Medina fight and the Badou Jack fight just finished him off.

Degale should definitely retire now, if I fought Rocky Fielding now, I'd actually back fielding to win to be fair.

Okaaaaay, where do we start? Well done young chris.
Let’s do the pre fight presser and once again, degayle made himself look a right kunt.
All that blowing at the pie whole came to what? Lol
I counted three knockdowns and a slam that was probably one of the funniest things I’ve seen that was also well deserved, couldn’t happen to a more deserving recipient. Lol
Lunges and hold with some mileage on the bike was ALL “chunky” did oh, and get knocked all over the place.
                Easily beaten,battered,bruised,etc etc etc
The icing on this for me was when the kunt only raised his arm at the bell...🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 kunt!!!!!
Good bye de “fail” your rubbish and roll on the eubank story.

Degale didn’t want to stand in the pocket and throw or take punches. He didn’t even want to take punches on the arms move and parry to wear Eubank down. He couldn’t even make Jr miss. He fought scared.

Hard to see DeGale so shopworn, his punch resistance completely deteriorated.

This was slated as the first world class opponent Jr. has beat, but he was far from what he was. Is Eubank Jr. really that much of a puncher (with the left as well) or has DeGale's chin just completely evaporated?
