DeGale also trashed Groves mercilessly but Groves was able to beat Eubank while DeGale could only win 2 of the 12 rounds. Now DeGale can retire knowing both of the men he has attacked verbally without letup all these years have a win over him. Boxing Scene scored it 117 to 108 for Eubank. Two of the three official scorecards were way too close. It's obvious those in power wanted DeGale to win but Eubank beat him by such a wide margin that they could not steal the win from him.

Yeah, you would have to say that the judges were looking to give that to DeGale but just couldn't without it being one of the worst robberies ever.

There was a couple of early rounds that were very close, but to only give it to Eubank by 2 points is ridiculous, especially when you consider he got 2 knockdowns. I think it'd be generous to give DeGale 3 rounds.

It means against a non shot opponent they may not have looked anywhere near as impressive, and Eubanks is not Floyd or Manny.

I dont know why people jump to other fighters and their situations which are entirely different than the fighters here, its crazy logic when you think it has nothing to do with what went down here now, its like trying to win a point with irrelevant BS.

Eubank beat a Degale that was very motivated and well prepared so now DeGale is shot to pieces so DeGale can't lose and Eubank can't win. Degale was never that good and Eubank is better now than DeGale ever was. No, Eubank isn't a Canelo beater but he is a good fighter who could probably reverse his lose to Saunders and compete very well with most of the other good 168 pounders.

disagree, he fought a really poor degale

when he had to chase degale, he still struggled to cut the ring off properly

Eubank did look better although obviously he is still somewhat crude.

This was just one training camp with Vazquez, though. He should improve a little more with each subsequent one.
