    Why wouldn't he?

If he can make the weight, which won't be 175, I think its his best payday & Kov is elderly for a boxer now. He don't have many sexy paychecks left. Legacy's are overrated & something for forum dorks to talk & think about.

I think if Sugar Ray Leonard fought Lalonde at 168, Lalonde who would fight at 175+, and then went back down to 152-160, it could be that Canelo would fight at a catch for the strap. LaLonde looked bigger than Kovalev too.

I think most fans think like you, but a legacy don't pay the mortgage & car note. And thats a reality that boxers are gonna live with for 40+ years after their boxing career is over. Not smart to put legacy over money when you've spent 90% of your life in a boxing gym & have few skills that translate into income outside the ring.

And just look at history & the bs L's some great fighters took to inferior fighters late in their careers for money. Its clear money beats the sh^t outta a legacy all day every day for most boxers. And it should. A legacy isn't even a tangible thing ffs.

Kovalev looks to walk around 198bs. He doesn’t look like the type to cut fat nor does he look like he adds gut fat from alcohol. Seems to have a high metabolism for the lanky type that he is. I say he gets around 190lbs during camp and drains simply water weight. His physique is proof.
