This "well ESPN wouldn't get involved if it wasn't going to happen" line of argument doesn't wash IMO, reason being that they weren't going to get a piece of the heavyweight pie at all beforehand, whereas now they're in with a shot of making money.
I don't really blame Fury/Warren for trying to make money, but at the same time, fights not happening (either at the right time or at all) over financial arguments is a trend that I cannot abide. I absolutely don't want to make this a Mayweather and Pacquiao convo, but their fight almost certainly made less money than it would have 3 years beforehand. That's in danger of happening again here. So yeah, rational move, but still.
