Any guess why Frank Warren decided to join ESPN, not Showtime?

My guess is he found himself groping in the dark dealing with mysterious people like Finkel and Haymon.
He probably found himself wondering who to trust,
and probably suspected getting lowballed behind his back.
Let's face it, the US market for a foreign promoter is an alien territory.
Hearn, OTOH, is backed by DAZN and can waste millions without his bank account getting hurt.

The safest bet is that wilder told Showtime/pbc to NOT sign fury so he can duck the fight. I don't see Any other reasonable explanation

When your last resort is sign with Arum, it just means the rest are even worse.

I don’t think that’s true. Warren and Finkel have a great realationship. Don’t forget he helped him put together that sham offer for aj. I think it’s a case of fury getting that deal and him piggy backing on it similar to what Oscar did with Canelo and dazn.

Fury had a 50/50 contract to rematch Wilder in front of him for a week .
Why would they offer him 50/50 ( which is a Good split ) if they were trying to Duck ?

Some of you guys on here are too quick to accuse fighters of Ducking .
Knowing the facts Before you criticize someone will help you keep from making silly comments.

Warren was getting nowhere with Finkel and the PBC. He went in with demands and he was laughed off, he is small time and was getting ganged up on and bullied by a number of managers and other people aswell as Showtime. He needed some muscle if he was going to get the best for Fury from now on and they went to Bob Arum.
