I wonder at what catch weight he’d try and enforce? I’d guess around 171

And if Bivol ends up looking weak at 168, Im sure Canelo will face him so everyone can say "you said he wouldn't fight Bivol but he did! Lalalala!" and if Bivol looks strong at 168, Canelo wont face him and everyone will say "Bivol is bigger than him Canelo didn't avoid him Bivol aint ****!" You fans always find loopholes to excuse ducking prime top opponents. That's all Im getting it as prime top opponents. GGG was his size that was the one that made perfect sense and was easy to figure out, but Canelo waited for him to get old. Now the only other guy around Canelo's weight at all comparable to GGG in terms of skill (just not power) is Bivol who fights at 175, but Canelo won't fight anyone at 175 unless they're old like Kovalev, complicating matters, leaving only 168 as a possibility, but Bivol has never made 168 before, complicating matters.
You see how complicated it gets when fans defend ducking in this sport? Not only complicated, but it muddies everything up. Now if Bivol looks like trash at 168 and Canelo fights him, we will never know if Canelo only fought him because he looked like trash (well, we would know based on his track record that that was most likely the reason, but we wouldn't KNOW for sure), and if Bivol looks good at 168 and Canelo never fights him, we will never know if Canelo didn't fight him because he looked good, or if Canelo was never going to fight him anyway. It brings frustration and confusing for fans. Fans shouldn't defend it any longer.

Why not? Wait until Kovalev is 100 years old walking on Zimmer Frames and have a 168.5 weight clause.

Typical Canelo bull****. Dmitry Bivol called out ALL the 168 champions. This bull**** article says Canelo is a 168 champion. Well then. But Canelo don't face ELITE PRIME OPPONENTS especially not ones with skill and power to boot.
That said I like Canelo's chances. Canelo is a murderous body puncher and Kovs can't take it to the body. Canelo by 10th rd stoppage should they meet.

The only reason he looked old was because he wasn’t fighting his usual bums and you know it. He was fighting an elite fighter for the second time in his career. Plus GGG has little mileage cuz his fights never lasted. Stop hating on a guy for things that haven’t happened.

Canelo is a helluva fighter.
DLH shielded him with paid judges but I believe Canelo doesn't need any advantage like that given to him.
He's got a great ring IQ & I had him winning the 2nd Golovkin fight 115-113
