Because of Networks and promoters. Promoters and networks want their marquee fighters to fight on their network. Arum will never allow any of his top fighters to fight off ESPN, they will have to fight on ESPN or no fight regardless if theres more money. Hearn will never allow AJ to fight on ESPN when he owes DAZN big fights. Certain promoters will allow big fights to happen if the money is good and let their fighters go to another network freely. Arum will never do that unless its a purse bid he lost

Hmmm...from what all of you experts say it is a very sad reality. It is a pity as boxing is such an underrated sport discipline.

Who says they don't or won't but they ain't going to do with them asking to sign multi fight deals in order for it. Why won't TR or GB fighters cross over? Most them are not exclusive to a network, their promoters are but only Canelo has an exclusive deal where he can only fight on DAZN.Fury went to fight on PBC and wasn't asked to sign a multi fight deal with Haymon.

Any fighter should cross over to network that pays the most not just PBC fighters.

It's why everyone is always arguing on boxing forums. Fans have no idea who the best fighter is in every weight division, so they have to yell at each other about why their guy is great.

Loma is great! No, Mikey is great! Result: no fight
Thurman is still great! No, Crawford is the new boogie man! No, Spence is it! Result: no fight
Joshua is God! No, Wilder. No, Fury! Result: One matchup that ended in a draw, and no rematch in sight.

A lot of nothing. Look at the threads around here. Since the fighters don't actually fight each other at the top level, people gotta post why their guy is the baddest. Or why the OTHER guy is "ducking." Or people gotta brag about how their guy is the "A side", so the OTHER guy has to make concessions.

I'm not interested. Maybe contract attorneys care. I'm only into the fights, but yeah.

You have wait a long time to see a top guy face another top guy for real.

It's prize fighting for one, men choosing to go life and death for the spoils of war.

But in this modern era of the blood sport, Promoters, teams, managers, fighters, networks, all want their share. Negotiations can become complicated as each party looks for their own interest, as a bad loss can derail, or stall a career, making it a risk for all involved.

But when a fighter has in his heart the conviction to become a true champion, and undisputed, and carve his legend by proving his is the best and removing all doubt by taking on dangerous lions, real killers in the sport, the best fights can and do happen. That's what made Fury/Wilder I so special.

Both boxers may want the fight and neither fears the other and is ducking. They both want to be well paid and if both boxers are not satisfied with the terms of fight there will be no fight and it doesn't mean anybody ducked anybody. Money is one reason for a fight not to happen. Location is another reason. A boxer may be willing to fight another boxer but not in that boxer's home town or home country for fear of getting robbed which happens a lot these days.
