The guy's obviously a tool for Matchroom Sport.

    • It's looking like Fury has used Wilder to climb up there. He's now relevant and ready to make the figures that Wilder will make after 3 fights. This is why Eddie Hearn remains the smartest among the crop.

      • To think that Miller would earn more than Wilder shows how bad Wilder's management are. On the interim, that 50million they offered Joshua is needed now

        • Is this true????

"Showtime is owned by CBS – literally the most-watched network on American television. CBS, which also owns BoxingScene.com and employs this writer"

This is all you need to know abut this article. Biased crap.

They're doing him a favor and he's going to look like a fool anyway.
Wilder makes $3 - 3.5M per fight. $3.5M for Ortiz.

Not sure what the UK PPV scenario was with Fury and BT sport but am guessing he made some money from that too, even though it was viewed at 5am here.
Wilder and Fury were each guaranteed $10M.

I understand your desire to try and slam Wilder. It seems like the thing to do for certain folks on NSB. However, please note that Miller is getting $6.5M for this fight, which is only $2.5M more than Wilder's guarantee for the Fury fight. So once you add in the ppv and gate revenue Wilder's purse, it ends up above $6.5M.

Secondly, please note that the Miller purse is aided by $3M of DAZN money which was added to the pot to ensure that Miller took the fight. So criticism of Wilder's team, IN THIS SENSE, is unwarranted. Particularly given that Wilder's team put him in position for a lucrative rematch with Fury that, outside of actions out of their control, would be happening in May.

I'm not sure I understand the desire to criticize Wilder or his team right now. They did everything they were supposed to do to give the fans the fight.

Maybe a 3 fight bum carousel followed by Fury then AJ???
                  Just cant see it.....

2 fights is all Arum ever mentioned
Five fight deal was never going to happen and Arum knew that. Let's see if he will offer a one off against Fury. If not, time to move on.

Also, for those wondering why so many big names are on ESPN+ and not ESPN? The article states the budget is bigger for ESPN+ than regular ESPN. Nice nugget there.

Fury and Wilder made an estimated 15 million combined , Joshua himself making over 30 just by fighting Miller.
Stop with this rumor. BT didn't finance the $50 million offer. The contract that was sent to Joshua specifically said that Sky Sports would be the PPV distributor in the UK.

Fury and Wilder were each guaranteed $10M.

Every article written has an author with a boss, which creates inherent bias or sensationalism. Hopefully, fans learn how to read an article and determine what is factual and what is the opinion of the writer. This doesn't apply to this site, but all sites.
