That's the highlight of Brigg's career, just like it was the highlight of Vitaly's to get beat to a pulp and almost upsetting Lewis.

History has a way of repeating itself.

Briggs has the size and the power to give Wlad a really good fight, and with the chance to be back in the spotlight, headlining MSG after being reduced to clubfighting practically, you can be assured that he will be motivated to give his all. If Wlad were fighting Brock, some of you would go off on him for fighting a guy who's not dangerous. If Wlad were fightng Toney, some of you would go off on him for fighting a short guy. If Wlad.... etc etc ad infinitum et all, etc.

Let's face it. This is probably the most exciting HW matchup of the year. Name a HW fight that has more potential for fireworks and a big KO than this one? There isn't one.

I guess the real question is "If not Briggs, who?"
I think Sultan Ibragimov will be dangerous as he comes along. He's a bit green now, but the boy can punch and has enough hand speed to give Klitschko problems.

Calvin Brock can pop and box. Lamon Brewster is out there, coming off a loss, but the revenge factor can still get some play.

Sultan is committed to an eliminator. Brock just had a ugly showing full of "Boo's." Brewster just loss, as you said, after a couple of comeback wins, then yeah, he's a potential candidate. But not now.

For right now, and for a MSG show, I really can't think of a better choice than Briggs, who's very exciting and dangerous, and well-known in NY. He used to be on Howard Stern all the time, before and after all his fights for awhile, where he was almost a regular.
