You people need to understand these "100+ millions" contracts... it's not guaranteed!

The fighters would make the money IF they win all the fights! which is very difficult for any fighter. Not everyone will see that number...

We don't know if Canelo will see 200+ millions with DAZN. He has to win all fights.

We don't know if Maidana will see 14+ millions with PBC, he has to win all fights for that.

We don't know if Fury will make 100+ millions with ESPN, he has to win all fights for that.

Shall I continue? If they lose a fight here and there, they won't even make half of that money... they will even get their contract terminated if the other party decides so after a loss.

Why are you all that ******? Argh..

canelo is on a totally different ship than fury and maidana, his contract has a guaranteed minimum of 365 million for 10 fights... if a lose clause was in his contract he wouldnt be fighting jacobs so early ... canelos contract is similar to floyds with showtime, which also had a guaranteed minimum... to be fair to you, canelo needs to fullfill those 11 fights, in the event of a long term injury or early retirement the the contract might get canceled...
it will be interesting to know what will be furys or chinos guaranteed minimum... any clue ?

As BoxingScene.com first reported on Tuesday, boxing's biggest network free agent - Canelo Alvarez - signed a multi-year deal with streaming service, DAZN. The first fight of that deal will take place on December 15th, when Canelo moves up to 168-pounds to challenge Rocky Fielding for the WBA "regular" super middleweight title at New York's Madison Square Garden.

Per a DAZN representative that I spoke to, the deal is worth a minimum of $365 million. Traditionally, Alvarez would be able to earn above and beyond his minimum purses based on pay-per-view buys and a percentage of the live gate from his fights. In this deal without a pay-per-view model, Alvarez will have other opportunities to earn above the base. There are escalators, but terms of those incentives were specified.

Not really... just read all the threads regarding those contracts. Some people like "ohh Fury gonna make 100+ millions!" no man, no... you don't know. He might make only 15.

So you are telling me that he can lose all ten fights from now on and still make 365 million guaranteed? doesn't make sense at all.

Jacobs is good but the best Jacobs fought GGG two years ago and lost a close fight. This Jacobs will likely make it a close fight but no way he can beat Canelo on scorecards. Another close fight that goes to Canelo in the worst scenario.

if the fighter loses the network or promoter can cancel the contract but doesn’t have to. Also depends on how they lose.
