This trilogy is way superior to the Gatti vs ward one in my opinion. Much higher level of skill, all 3 fights were super close and competitive, and the dislike between them was legit.Comment

Never thought I would see this!!!
These two are part of one of the greatest trilogies in boxing history and with the venom and hatred they showed each other in all three fights I never felt like they would become friendly let alone friends like Gatti and Ward did but sometimes as you get older you learn to respect someone who put it all on the line just like you did and the better man won I mean that's all you can ask of these men and it's very cool that they're cordial and friendly now.Comment

The first fight is still the greatest of the 21st century IMO. I didn't think the second fight was that good but obviously fight I was incredible and the 3rd was great too. The great thing about the series is that every fight went the opposite of the public perception.
Fight I Morales was the young guy, Barrera was supposed to be done yet Barrera wins (but gets robbed).
Fight II the roles are reversed and now Barrera is the man yet Morales wins (but gets robbed)
Fight III Morales is on top of his game and Barrera written off and Barrera gets the decisive and clearest win of the series in a great fight.
The round robin between Morales, Barrera, Marquez and Pacquaio presented the best boxing, series and fights of the last 30 years in boxing.Comment
