In the history of boxing most who just do well against a champion get a rematch just because they did well and the champion wants to prove he's clearly better.

Yes, a fight is scored round by round and plenty of experts/fighters i.e. Paulie, Lennox, Atlas, RJJ gave Fury enough rounds to negate the knockdowns scorewise and give him the edge to say they believed he won so its not ridiculous for these fans to run with that narrative. You know this which is probably why you've resulted to name calling.

If you want to have a long career, what network you fight on is very important. Wilder could go to ESPN for one fight, get screwed, and his career is over. SHO would have no incentive to rehab him and he'd have no recourse to force ESPN to rehab him. You have no idea how the business works.

showtime will be out of boxing soon

they have no ppv fights anymore after pac retires

and their ratings are very bad given the purses of the fighters on their cards

you could be right , this might be the beginning of the squeeze out for Showtime [ i hope not, the more channels that show fights the better IMO ] ..It seems these apps like espn/dazn are the way of the future. In the next year or two fans will definitely see the broadcasting landscape change.
