What would You change in Boxing Today to make it more interesting? Is it the calibre of the fighters in the sport today, Is it the rules, state regulations, Is it these mandatory opponents that Title Holder's have to fight or risk losing their belts, or is it these Champs fight for the money instead of the competition??? I believe it may be a combination of them all but how could it be flipped back to the interest level when you heard of fight like Ray Leonard vs Marvin Hagler, or Ali vs anybody? How can boxing get its Hype back????

Return to the eight traditional weight classes, with only one championship belt in each division.

I agree, with all the different weight classes & different champs for every association, it kind of diminishes the title depending on how many belts that champion holds. I'd like to see 1 champ per weight division. I Can Dig Dat!!!

I concur. I'd also throw in new *********s to the scoring system.

I don't know about the one belt i think having at least four is cool there's nothing more exciting than a unification bout. plus it opens up opportunities for other fighters to become champions. However, I do feel the sanctioning bodies should be more accurate with the way they rank fighters, and more cooperative with one another. they should unify. give boxers benefits, and pensions and **** like that seeing as how they make ridiclous amounts of money off of these fighters during their active careers. Not to make it sound all bad. I do think boxing has been making a come back at least this last few years, we have born witness to some historical fights like the gatti-wards / barrera-morales / corrales-castillo even though it ended with a sour note/ hopkins-tarver, honestly besides tito-vargas, and tito - delahoya no other fight gave me more of that leonard - hagler type of anticipation than the Lacey - Calzage fight. What a great fight!!!!!! I knew calzage was a monster, and i even got into a few heated debates on here. a whole lot people thought jeff was gonna knock him out. Instead he got beat up like he stole somethin' anyway. we even got to see mayweather-judah, and vargas-mosley twice this year. If the best keep fighting the best boxing can only move forward. UFC is cool but it gets hard to watch two dudes wrestlin, and dry humpin' on the floor. It doesn't really grasp my attention. There's nothing like the fine science of pugilism.
