Bullshit Bob. There's no damn way that Al Haymon, the PBC, Fox and Showtime is going to allow you to be the lead promoter for this fight or allow Wilder to fight on ESPN outside of a purse bid. Team Wilder holds all the cards and has the leverage. He is the A side because he is the WBC champion. Even with a purse bid it's still up to the champion to decide and choose which promotional company he is going to work with.

      Re

See, Arum is already getting off on the wrong foot, trying to big-time Haymon, to gain a negotiating edge.

It's not happening guys. We have just been robbed of the biggest rematch of this generation of HWs...smh...

Yeah, Crawford! Cant find an opponent for him!

Now that Arum's Top Rank Inc. has signed England's Fury to a multi-fight agreement for the lineal heavyweight champion to box on ESPN in the United States, he'll help co-promoter Frank Warren decide Fury's next move.

What a strange turn of events .....

Now "The Snake" Arum is calling the shots for Fury, after the weasel Hearn got sidelined.

I can't blame Fury for capitalizing on his market position post Wilder\Fury. But all these different network's splurging on different fighters doesn't make too much financial sense.

Outside of Fury vs Wilder\AJ, the return isn't going to match ESPN's investment. So in essence, Wilder\AJ will still call the shots regarding a fight with Fury, because Fury needs both\either of the two to turn a profit for ESPN.

If no Wilder\AJ for Fury, then ESPN gets the shaft and Fury wins, because he's getting paid either way.

Bottom line: ESPN needs both fights to happen (Wilder\AJ) to ensure they can capitalize on their investment. Because I don't see too many people lining the sidewalks for tickets to watch Fury fight tomato cans.

Freakin boxing is worst than any soap opera out.

Wow, that sucks. I was actually looking forward to plunking down $75 for the rematch.
With this size investment from ESPN, I can't imagine that Top Rank would let Fury take a 50/50 fight vs. Wilder/Joshua first unless they are getting basically complete control. And Fury has completely changed his tune with respect to the rematch. Wilder could technically fight on ESPN PPV, but he seems very loyal to Showtime/PBC.

What does the WBC do now? Put the purse bid back on? Or just let Wilder fight a voluntary defense and order the mandatory vs. Whyte/Brezeale for late-2019?

It's time for Wilder to cut his losses because Fury doesn't want the fight. He signed with Top Rank in order to escape Wilder and to dictate the terms and conditions of a potential rematch. Of course that won't happen because after all, Wilder is the A side who doesn't owe him shit because it was a voluntary defense.

He never took the Fury fight for money in the first place. He took the fight as a gift to boxing fans. It was more of a legacy fight rather than a money fight.

Moreover, he threw Tyson Fury a lifeline, that he didn't deserve after popping for both doping and juicing because he wanted to the giving the fans a fight they wanted to see. So I say to Hell with Tyson Fury. The ungrateful, sellout, turncoat son of a bitch.

Not many fighters would duck £80m. Fury isn't ducking Wilder but got a deal he couldnt resist. This is just boxing politics. Everyone wants to have hands on that boxing pie. The heavyweight was dead but now everyone can eat.
