Fury hasn't actually pulled out of the rematch has he?

The WBC have mandated it so you'd presume that Warren with his new financial backing could win a purse bid to then have all the power to do everything in his power to bring home the WBC belt. Most people felt that Tyson should've won on the cards the first time around... if the rematch goes to the cards on a TopRank card you can be damn sure it's the TR fighter that's winning that.

Sounds like Fury now that he got his ESPN deal will pull out the purse bid. With the money ESPN is investing I can't see them ever allowing any network to force their fighter to go to any network other then ESPN. If the fight happens it will definitely have to include ESPN airing it.

Purse bid is 60-40 to the champ right? That would be unfair to Fury.

Bollocks. I'ma guess Fury v Joshua is the most likely of the 3 fights then; Wilder's ego means he's not going to concede to either Joshua or Fury in terms of demanding 50-50 and it's pretty clear from all of this that Wilder's value doesn't compare to either Joshua's or Fury's.

One of them would have to compensate two TV stations right?

            Joshua SKY/DAZN, Fury BT/ESPN.

I can't see how that ever happens.

Yup that's what they are saying. Purse split means Fury gets a smaller piece of the pie and then forced to potentially fight on another network conflicting with the contract he just signed to fight exclusively on ESPN.

AJ has to fight Fury or Wilder this year

Fury will probably fight Whyte at the end of this year

I expect AJ Wilder end of the year.

If Fury/Wilder 2 breaking down means we get AJ/Wilder later this year then great news for fans. But somebody has to make a deal with the other side and 1 fighter will be left out in the cold when it happens.
