The thing is is that the fights this is likely to prevent him from taking, ie. the Joshua and Wilder fights, were the only ones I was even interested in seeing him in. Fury's only good to watch against good opposition that makes him work, he has a terrible habit of sleepwalking his way through fights against lesser opposition, or slumping to their mediocre level because he doesn't have to try harder. Assuming that Joshua and Wilder are off the table, the only one out there I'm interested in seeing him fight is maybe Ortiz and even that's a big stretch. Cong**** on Fury for getting paid I guess but I'm not sure it was worth sacrificing the paydays he could have had against the other big two. Bob on the other hand, probably isn't going to get a return worth the money he's promised. I just can't fathom what anybody was thinking with this - at the very least it should have waited until after the Wilder fight.Comment

There will be no Fury/Wilder rematch. Anyone who doesn't see this must be blind. Seems Deyonce is now the one "frozen out". Karma can be so lovely sometimes.Comment

The dinosaur promoters of yesteryear are back to moving pawns on a board and ruining the appeal of the sport. We all know this means Fury will have two cruddy fights and then one contest people want to see before he signs his next contract. Arum can’t get deals done outside of his network anymore, we’ve seen it many times over.Comment

quite a bold statement
does fury realize all wilder and aj have to do is get together and make a fight and the winner is the clear a-side over fury?
i know he thinks theres no way wilder and ajs team will get along....but eventually two sides in this triangle will get a deal done...and it just might be wilder and aj....they could leave fury in the dust really....they could agree to a two fight deal one in the uk and one in the us.....and fury will be stuck fighting top rank scrubs while espn foots the bill at a bloated rateComment

I said this before, Immediately after the fight, it looked like Fury was not game for a rematch. I think he wants to fight Wilder again but only after a few fights. Dont be surprised if Fury completes his 5 fight deal with ESPN then fights either AJ or Wilder. They already said he'll be fighting 3 times this year. Which mean his third fight in 2020 will be a free agent, Fury chased a guaranteed payday. Can't get mad at the business decision but let's all see it for it was and is.Comment
