American's as a whole since in this era, don't take well to African america individual male athletes when during the 80's and 90's, being a African american athlete in my opinion made you more marketable 'Some of the most marketable america athletes ever, or athletes who transcended sports where all black 'Carl Lewis single handily forced track and field out of amateur and into professionalism, Bo-Jackson, Michael Jordan the list goes on. Yes you have NFL and Basketball players that are marketable, but only because they are type ****** 'Most team sports in america operate just like that' I don't know any basketball players that have any real opinion on anything, I don't know any NFL Black players who say anything worth of any substance 'All seem to be ******' but that is the same with athletes in most team sports, complete voids. Anthony Joshua if he stays fighting in america, will become america's champion also. I actually think all the blacks in the ******'s will gravitate to him more aswell, he is going to win over or take Deontay Wilder's supporters.

Even when David Haye was fighting Wladimir Kiltschko he was starting to get backed by the american's.

Deontay Wilder has a lot of potential as a personality, if he would of signed with Matchroom, he would of been promoted correctly in america.

Note: I watched a film with Ken Norton called [B]mandingo, and to be honest it was quite moving. And I honestly don't want to compare some of the african american athletes to those men, as even in there situation they where brave men.

Floyd (black), Canelo (Mexican), Pacquio (Asian) none of them were white and all got 50-60M paydays. Before them the biggest check cashers were Oscar and Holyfield, Mike Tyson, Sugar Ray Leonard, ect. Again none of them were white. The biggest money generators in the last 4 decades are all black and brown people not white. This dude is rambling and losing his damn mind. Agreed. In addition, athletes who are most able to reach and attract those different (read: cut across different strata of society) from them make the most money.
In general, you need good pr and good character to do that. That’s why wilder earns less, and why AJ is a star. AJ attracts casuals and non boxing fans

There's no doubt that a champion WASP fighter would be huge in 'Murica, white America is always looking for the great white hope, but Wilder is up there with Khan and Horn in terms of self delusion of grandeur. In Wilder's 40 fights, only two are noteworthy, 40yr old Ortiz, and the Fury fight that many thought he lost. Wilder is a county bumpkin.
