Comments Thread For: Sebastian Fundora Stops Donnie Marshall in Three Rounds

Microsoft Theater, Los Angeles - In a battle of undefeated super welterweight prospects, Sebastian Fundora (12-0, 8 KOs), who stands at a freakish 6'7, needed only three rounds to hand Donnie Marshall (10-1, 6 KOs) his first career defeat.

Fundora is fun to watch but his first loss will definitely be by KO

For a TALL fighter, he is seems easy to hit with the left hook. If he does not learn how to tighten things up when close i see disaster in his future.
        Still a fun fighter though.

Yeah same thing I was thinking.
For being a tall guy he doesn't use his height and reach to his advantage.
Him and Munguia would be a great, fun fight with not much defense being displayed but I'll take Munguia by K.O!

How TF that guy makes 147 is beyond me, you'd think merely being that height the weight of your skeleton, tissues and organs would weigh more than that, let alone the muscle required to box and move around.

If the guy stays focused and puts in the hard work, he could make it far. Think Tommy Hearns moving up divisions - this guy doesn't have the same reach or power though, or talent, but he is very young. Would have loved to have seen him as an MMA fighter. With those long ass legs and southpaw stance he could kick his opponent's liver into orbit from a mile away.

EDIT: His reach is listed as 73 inches (Hearns was 78 inches at 6'1), but that doesn't take into account the torso length and length of your legs, which can effectively increase your 'range' by leaning. Interesting cat, worth watching just for the freak show

Fundora looks like he shouldn't be too strong or have much punch resistance but against the competition he's faced so far he's had exactly that. He also seems to have some pop in his shots. He also seems to be more fluid in his movement and punches than most guys his height (see Fox brothers). I agree that his first loss will be by spectacular KO tho. Still enjoyable to watch while it lasts.

This guy would get destroyed by any top 10 JMW.

Fundora would do horribly in MMA, he's tall and VERY lanky, horrible center of gravity, would be easily taken down. Semmy Schilt was a really tall kickboxer/MMA fighter, but he was much more muscular than toothpick Fundora. Schilt was probably heavily taking HGH and Steroids like all the oldschool MMA guys.
