People say he is the "best" fighter in the world. He needs to prove it against top opponents. Crolla is far from that. Neither was Pedraza nor Linares.

If Loma can't find opponents and is afraid to fight Lopez, then where does that leave him, opponent wise? I most definitely wouldn't expect him to move up and fight Mikey, Crawford, etc. It's damn frustrating!

At 32, Crolla has 6 losses against average and nondescript fighters. What's his best win? What does he do best? Crolla is a never-was.

Fighting Lopez would be a million times better.
Did Spence do the honorable thing and vacate the belt when OCampo was mandatory? That’s the worst mandatory in modern memory. I can’t think of one worse. Maybe Hopkins vs. Hakkar and De La Hoya vs. Charpeinteir were as bad. How critical were you of those? Or Tank’s opposition in general since winning a title? No shortage of guys wanting to fight Tank. You seem to take it out on other Lomachenko and have taken it personally that Tank said he doesn’t want to fight him.

I never cared about Hopkins. I avoided his fights.

Spence is not a decorated amateur champ with almost 400 fight experience and nobody considers him as the #1 P4P in the world (a BS, made up title). Loma really needs to prove the hype before it's too late. He's 32.

Even Pac would be much better than this farce.

Not gonna talk about Davis in this thread. It's about Loma's opposition. I'm not emotionally invested in Davis. I don't even make threads about him. I have a life.

How do you draw the conclusion that Loma is 32 when he’s 30? There’s a difference.

Well, I’m talking about holding them to YOUR accountability. You’ve said Spence is #1 or #2 p4p and Loma isn’t good and certainly not a p4p caliber boxer so why don’t you hold YOUR views to YOUR standards?

Spence IS a decorated amateur and he’s 29 in like 2 weeks which according to you means he’s 32. So he’s 32 and has nearly twice as many fights and he’s far better in your opinion yet he fought Ocampo. Ocampo makes Crolla look like Chavez he’s that bad and poorly credentialed. Spence hasn’t unified or moved up and has defeated far less champions than Loma. That’s probably why the world has him ranked higher but I’m asking about holding fighters to YOUR standards.

            Good one. Crolla's number stuck. I know he's 30.

Are you really arguing this guy is acceptable for Loma? I guess I hold him to a much higher standard than you. Spence is one of the best fighters in the world, so is Loma (never ever said he's bad).

            Hope they skip Crolla.

Considering that Commey is injured, Mikey is not in the division plus has a scheduled bout and Loma just got to 135 and it’s a good achievement/his goal to get all the belts I think it’s an acceptable opponent for what it is. A top 5 guy coming off two solid wins and a better resume than Pedraza overall.

It’s FAR better than Ocampo and it will be followed by Commey for the IBF and probably Berchelt who’s consensus #1 at 130. Considering the state of boxing that’s a solid year IMO so it’s a mandatory that should just be gotten out of the way. Greater fighters than Loma have defended titles against far lesser fighters than Crolla.

You may have heard that PapaFimo barked at Team Loma at the fighters’ hotel a couple days ago. Greg Leon had deets on Boxing Talk:

“I just told them how I feel. I told them that we’re going to steal the show again and we’re coming to take his head off soon. ... He ain’t nobody man, I don’t know why people praise this guy,” said Teofimo’s dad Teofimo Senior. “This guy is terrible and everybody saw it on Saturday when he looked terrible. This guy won’t last two rounds with my son and I’ll put all my money on that. He’s too fragile for my son, and we already that they’re not going to fight us because we’re going to end his career. Top Rank would love for him to do it because it would set him up as a $50M fighter. Top Rank doesn’t need this guy. He couldn’t even sell out a 5,000 seat arena. This guy is a fake and he’s always been a fake to me. We would have killed Pedraza in one round. We’re putting Lomachenko to sleep. He’s just too small. Loma is never going to be able to beat my son. If he fights this way with my son he might get knocked out seconds into the first round. My son is going to be the best boxer in history and he’s only 21 right now and I believe he only landed with like 50-60% of his power on that shot that finished Menard off.”

I like Lopez, Sr. He's a feisty one!
I'd love to see the fight ASAP.

I think Arum is considering whether this trinket is worth putting Loma on DAZN against such low grade opponent. It's not. This would be a good decision.

Find Loma a better opponent and put the WBA in the trash. Davis should do that as well. It's worthless.
