This sounds shady as hell! Why hasn't anyone heard of this injury before?? The guy has been retired for almost two years now. Looks like Roc Nation is trying to recoup some of the money they wasted on the terrible Andre Ward investment from an insurance company.

It was mentioned by Virgil Hunter in the lead up to the 2nd Kovalev fight, he said Ward had been carrying it from the Paul Smith fight and it had restricted his movement...but they went to see the same guy that operated on Kobe and he diagnosed the problem straight away and fixed it with a minor surgery. You can actually see the difference with Ward's movement, it is extremely noticeable, he became a very static fighter before that.

As far as this lawsuit goes...who knows. Maybe the fix was temporary.
