He has no legacy...
In 25 years time, literally no boxing fan will be talking about James DeGale he’s had no long standing impact on the sport, he’s won a vacant IBF title so did Murray Sutherland around 25 years ago, how many people still remember him?
Comparing me and DeGale is completely irrelevant, I’m an intellectual professional, something DeGale could never achieve, whilst he’s a professional athlete something I could never achieve. If you want to insist on “his legacy” compare him to fighters/super middleweight’s who have actually left a legacy like RJJ, Toney, Ward, Calzaghe etc. He pales in comparison because as I said...
HE HAS LEFT NO LEGACY.
Deal with it...Comment

Degale playing mind games with Eubank insinuating Eubanks a bum, that losing to someone as lowly thought of as eubank would ruin his reputation.
But Eubank most likely isnt too bad as he will have a few good wins before he retires.
So degale shouldnt worry too much if he loses to eubank.Comment

Groves was a bum.former is correct. And now? Nobody, all mouth and medioca skill level, 20 something fights and out? Who is the us or Canada? What are you talking about? Who are the IBF? I’m an Englishman from London and I can assure you, we will quickly forget about James DeGale for his mouth and a NEVER forget his face when George groves beat him and not many hear will forget what he and his gimp trainer said pre fight.
An Olympic medalist and that’s the only thing that will stand out, well done for that but legacy?
As you say, “wtf”.
Lol us and Canada!!!!!

your trying to save yourself with your George groves issue, not sure why.
At least the saint isn’t crying about retiring and walking away without trying to get the British public (who favoured groves over degayle (at anytime) as a boxer and as a man.
Deal with the fact that degayle will very quickly be forgotten here and that is certain similarly, I will quickly forget The amusement you’ve been providing me with your dreamed about bum love with James defail and confused state.
Go to bed now little one, hussssshhhhhh..zzzzzzz
You are one weird ****head. Your post also doesn't actually make sense. I don't give a **** about what the British public thinks anyway. Groves was chinny and had **** stamina. That's why he got brutally stopped three times.Comment

He was the first Brit gold medalist to win a world title, so that puts him in the history books straight away.He has no legacy...

The fighters you mentioned are all hall of famers - there’s no shame in not having a legacy as good as theirs. He’s still been a solid world champion though.Comment

DeGale's problem is that he fights as good as his opponent.I get why some people don't like Degale but his career does deserve respect.
He was good for that gold medal and he "lost" the first fight with Groves simply because Groves was seen as more marketable.
After that he had a tough road of it and nobody did him any favours on the road to the WBC title, he didn't get handed anything unlike Groves who was given title shot after title shot until beating a very weak champion and everyone going nuts over it.
Degale deserves more respect than he getsComment

He's arrogant and somewhat lazy. Far too many times in his career he thinks he's winning rounds he's losing and puts himself in a hard spot.
In terms of who he fights though and his actual "guts" there's nothing lacking there.Comment

He’s had a decent career, I’m not denying that. But he’s massively underachieved on his potential and has had no long standing impact on the sport, like the vast majority of fighters he hasn’t left a legacy. He was the first Brit gold medalist to win a world title, so that puts him in the history books straight away.
