Comments Thread For: DeGale: I Can't Lose To Eubank, It Would Tarnish My Legacy

By Thomas Gerbasi - It started as an annoyance, as most injuries do. James DeGale, preparing for the second defense of his IBF super middleweight title against Rogelio Medina, felt the twinge in his lower leg but paid no mind to it. He had other, more urgent matters to tend to, namely his shoulder. "Six weeks before that...

This kunt and king khunt could spell legacy if it was repeated to them, totally and utterly ******ed and no words like “legacy” are involved in any way with what they have achieved. Just another couple of passers by is all. Their Olympic achievement is the only thing to stand out and that’s that.

Before he lost to Truax he was saying I've never felt this good, I'm in the best shape of my life. Then he lost and the excuses came, the injury crap etc. He will lose to Eubank Jr then the excuses will come probably injury base. Degale is a Legend in his own mind his been a average Champ no more than that. My prediction Eubank Jr stops him anytime after round 6 or his team throws the towel in, then hopefully he disappears and takes Saunders with him.

I get why some people don't like Degale but his career does deserve respect.

He was good for that gold medal and he "lost" the first fight with Groves simply because Groves was seen as more marketable.

After that he had a tough road of it and nobody did him any favours on the road to the WBC title, he didn't get handed anything unlike Groves who was given title shot after title shot until beating a very weak champion and everyone going nuts over it.

Degale deserves more respect than he gets

Legacy was done after the Groves fight.

I think Degale is clearly past his best but I have such little faith in Eubank JR that I can't back him to win this fight. If Degale is a "has been" then Eubank is a "never was".
