But point stands, Whyte doesn't need Hearn for this fight against Breazeale.
He does if he wants to be paid anything close to what he thinks he deserves for it.

Hearn's retweeted it, so I assume Whyte and Hearn are still on the same page. Breazeale could have left PBC for all we know

Highly doubt Breazeale left the PBC, since he was on the PBC show just last week lol. But hey, things can change fast!

This was the right fight to be made in the mean time. Winner vs Wilder/Fury winner and the winner of that fight vs Joshua in 2020.

Be interesting to see what happens with Joshua's 2nd fight this year now. Supposed to be the WBO mandatory, WBC interim title would take Whyte out of the WBO rankings. Usyk will probably be made mandatory, but will he be wanting it this soon?

I think too many people think purse bids are gonna happen far more often then they do. Purse bids are a rare occurrence. They will continue to be.

Wilder isn't fighting on non-PPVs the rest of his career if he beats Fury in the rematch. So a fight vs Breazeale/Whyte/Ortiz/Joyce/etc would be on PPV.
I'm not confident of that. I think he'll have fights off PPV if he beats Fury.

There is PPV for BT Sports. That's where the first Wilder/Fury fight took place on.
Thought there was but wasn't 100%. Thanks for clearing that up.

If Wilder does good numbers vs Fury and KOs him? He's a star to the level where he has to be on PPV to get paid what he wants. I mean not like he has 10 years left in his career. Dude is already close to being in his mid 30s.

Remember, GGG was essentially a PPV fighter right from the Lemieux fight and Wilder will be a bigger name post Fury. If GGG/Lemieux or GGG/Jacobs is PPV, then you better believe Wilder/Breazeale and Wilder/Whyte will be PPV.

Hearn will not want Joshua/Usyk just yet.

Maybe Joshua vs Pulev? I mean the organizations aren't going to step in the way of making Joshua vs winner of Wilder/Fury, I need to see it to believe it.

The money is in the UK for this fight. If DAZN wants the American rights they will get them. They have a deal with matchroom, if they match the highest offer the fight goes to DAZN. Whyte's last fight went to Showtime because DAZN didn't want to match the offer.

I agree Wilder is close to the finish line but I don't see him going exclusively PPV with a Fury W. Its possible I just don't think its likely.

Still there is a need for sellable opponents for a PPV fight. Wilder isn't Canelo big if he wins the rematch suddenly to go to auto-PPV star. He'll have bigger fights & smaller fights more likely than not. The big fights will be PPV the smaller fights won't be. Could be only big fights on Wilder's schedule post-Fury W, but I think its unlikely he's got that few fights left &/or big name opponents keep getting chosen.

So..... Hearn would have to win a purse bid and then later DAZN would have to match Espinoza for whatever he offers for the fight?
