Idk if its a classy thing, but there clearly is more sensitivity to Joshua critiques.

I think part of it could even be UK Joshua fans not having a guy who can transcend the sport like we've had in US boxing several times in recent decades & like I think most of us agree Joshua can so they are more protective of "their" Ali, Floyd, Oscar or SRL since they don't get one as often.

You haven't had a #1 HW in almost 2 decades, the UK has had 3 since you last had one. This is why you have this ridiculous building of Wilder, if he was any other nationality everyone would be laughing at him for the clown he is.

      Hell yeah you are.

I've seen you dummies call Dillian Whyte 'Shyte', Eddie Hearn 'Shyster (amongst other insults)', Anthony Joshua 'coon, uncle Tom, house nyygga' etc.

You guys are all class, no doubt.

      Classy, objective and unbiased.

Sure you might be getting your talking points from Wilder's Instagram or LDBC's interviews with Shelly Finkel, but those guys are classy, objective and unbiased too so it's all good.

Wilder would benefit a lot if he used his jab more. He has the reach and the power to do some serious damage with it, using it for landing the big right is why he lost most rounds against Fury.

He has beaten at least 2 Olympic games gold medalists.

To say he has no skill is ridiculous.

In his last fight he shot the left hook from the hip, another pretty cool skill that not many heavyweights do, especially at the top level.

He throws pretty cool combinations too, i'd say the best of any current heavyweight. He throws the jab, followed by the right hand or even left hook, with the uppercut coming underneath. Don't really see any other heavyweights doing that right now.

Plus, he actually has a pretty decent defense. Certainly better than Wilder, although not as tight as Fury. He keeps his hand up well and generally slips punches either with his footwork or by slight movements of the head.

case in point: the parker fight. even though it was probably the worst fight ever, good distance control was showed by Joshua. That's another skill.

So I don't really buy into him not having skills. In fact, he's by far one of the most skillful fighters today in the HW division.

Another thing he does extremely well is to prevent his opponent from settling into the fight. he uses his physical presence to move them around, and generally attacks when they attack causing them to get frustrated.
Imo everything you mentioned is textbook. And most if it is about punching, like I mentioned. Its taught. Yes he is very textbook. He has great technique. His technique, size, and power make him one of the best heavyweights in today's division. Which me have to admit, isn't the deepest.

I would classic everything you mentioned as part of his technique. But if you look at it as skills, then he's not great at anything, which would add up to him being mediocre. And I'm not knocking him. AJ fights I tune in. He has brought life to the heavyweight division and is doing amazing numbers. But this isn't about that. This is a convo strictly on talent. I don't see talent. I see a textbook boxer. Not great at anything.. AJ wouldn't best Timothy Bradley if they were both 140. Tim is another guy with no real skills

Most skills are taught, yes what else is new?

I don't really understand your point with TB, it seems totally misplaced. Everyone knows heavyweights should only be compared to heavyweights; can't compare a 250lb man to a 140lb man - but out of curiosity, what skills does he have that AJ doesn't?

I suggest you look up the definition of skill, you obviously have no clue what it means.
