No. Mayweather is smart on boxing and it's in his best interest for Tank to do well. His last fight was against a last minute substitute. I am sure Mayweather knows enough to step up his competition and don't forget Tank fought Pedraza when he was undefeated.
Should Tank leave mayweather promotions?

From what I've heard, Haymon and PBC will pay fighters during *down time** hence why a lot of them aren't in a rush to fight multiple times a year. Almost like an allowance of sorts. Just go an add some of these fighters on social media. Outside of Anthony Joshua, Canelo, and GGG, most of these guys will respond to you I don't think people often realize how much time the non superstar boxers have on their hands..Last edited by WhatDisButtonDo; 02-12-2019, 03:48 AM.Comment

I think for Tank to reach his personal ceiling he gots to cut the cord with MP eventually. Floyd treats him like a child & that'll be a problem for Tank when he feels more like a man then the kid he probably still feels like in a lot of ways still at his age.
Or there has to be at least a stage where they have some giant turmoil & drama that leads to them coming to more beneficial terms for Tank as well as Floyd. Tank will need to assert himself doe & thus far he seems happy to be the little kid to Floyd's dading him. It feels like a very weird & cringey relationship to me right now & in the recent past.
Idk if Tank just feels gratitude that Floyd has hyped him & helped him as much as he has, if he's in awe of Floyd the superstar still or if he's just kinda dumb about these things at this level or doesn't know how to verbally assert himself or some combo of these things but something is holding Tank back from being who Tank wants to be, for better or worse.
And its worth noting that when Top Rank quit holding Floyd back thats when Floyd shined the most. Idk if Tank running his own show would shine as much specifically at his still young age now, but thats the road Tank should be taking & I expect he will when he asserts himself with Floyd.Comment

No, because on average the PBC and Mayweather promotions pay more than the typical promotional companies like Golden Boy Promotions, Top Rank and Matchroom Boxing USA.Comment

That was my feeling at the time too. That Tank vs Loma thing by Floyd was after Tank had said some negative sh^t about MP &/or Floyd iirc.
I'd love to hear the convo between Floyd & Tank behind the scenes about Loma. My sense is Floyd is leading the strategy more than Tank is with Loma sh^t. And I kinda feel to Floyd Tank is like Joshua is to Hearn. Obviously on a smaller scale, but MP is the Tank show now & MP's other fighters are moved in more daring & aggressive ways than Tank is now that Tank is Tank lol. If that makes any sense. Kinda like I feel Hearn has done in protecting his asset in Joshua.
That comparison rings true for me cuz ultimately I think Floyd & Hearn are among the top promoters in this sport right now in putting on competitive fights. Floyd & Hearn will put their guys in fights where they can catch an L & they have. If you are 20-0 or better with Floyd or Hearn promoting you it usually means you a pretty solid f#cking talent. With TR or other promoters 20-0 could mean something or not mean anything.
But the thing is Floyd & Hearn both see so much potential in Tank & Joshua they quit moving those guys as aggressively as they did to get them where they currently are.
Hopefully both guys will put both in with their #1 options in the near future for their fighters potentials sake & greedily as a fan for us the fans sake cuz I wanna see Tank & Joshua fight the best guys they can now & think both are ready for that despite their promoter.Comment
