Comments Thread For: Mayweather: Tank Will Become Household Name, PPV Star

CARSON, California Gervonta Davis' famous promoter stood by his side late Saturday night in a crowded hallway near Davis' locker room. Floyd Mayweather made sure everyone jammed into this tiny space received the same message if there's one fighter in boxing that can surpass his superstar status, it's Davis. The retired five-division champion obviously is biased, but Mayweather seems genuinely confident he can bring along the 24-year-old Davis at a similar deliberate pace that Mayweather took to becoming the richest athlete in the history of professional sports.

I have no doubt that he would, my only hope is his competition improves as he gets older. I actually think he gives Loma a run for his money right now, I think Farmer would probably be a bit awkward for him but i see him winning that fight.

Floyd knew Tank & Pac are of the same physical mold! Tank can reach stardom at 147lbs with his guidance. BTW Floyd is scare of midget Pac or waiting for $100M offer.

            Yeah, that seems highly unlikely.

Doubt it. Most people dont care about the little man divisions below welter especially black boxing fans.

Not fighting smaller guys he won't. Davis' career is being wasted. A lot of talk and no action. Beating up smaller guys mean nothing to no one.
