Loma would make Tank quit and go away, as you said, like Walters and Rigo and Russel and the other superb fighters. Tank would only be the fifth or sixth best fighter Loma has faced. And others would say, oh it was only Tank, oh it was only Rigo, oh it was only Walters, oh it was only Russel. He hasn't fought anyone of quality yet. Floyd ain't wrong to some degree, but I think fighters need to man up when their promoter asks them who they wanna fight instead of saying "I don't care".

Fair play if Tank or whoever don't know whos in their division very deeply, but if I'm a fighter who wants to be #1 in my division I'm answering "the best guy you can get" every time to Floyd's question.

The fact Tank isn't saying that isn't good. Maybe he doesn't know to say that, maybe he isn't ready to test how good he is. Idk, but it seems an obvious answer to me for someone wanting to be the best in this game.

This style of letting promoters decide who you fight has never excited me & sure this is a business & a job for boxers at the end of the day so to some degree fighting whoever is understandable, but the guys who rise the highest seem to be the guys who focus their aim to targets.

Floyd didn't become Floyd fighting "whoever". He got there from aiming for Oscar for years before Oscar agreed to fight him. And too many others to count got there from chasing top guys to legends too not from fighting "whoever".
