It's obvious Mayweather is in it for the long game. That strategy helped earn him more than a half a billion dollars. Davis' career could have stiffer competition but fighting Lomachanko doesn't do him any justice. If he wins, so what? Lomachenko has been beaten before. If he loses he'll be Gary Russell overnight.

If he beats the reigning PVP so what? Cause Loma lost to Salido? So a perfect record means something?

Loma, Floyd and Tank's first 13 opponents. Loma would be 13 and 0 too with that mediocre set of opponents. Loma would make Tank quit and go away, as you said, like Walters and Rigo and Russel and the other superb fighters. Tank would only be the fifth or sixth best fighter Loma has faced. And others would say, oh it was only Tank, oh it was only Rigo, oh it was only Walters, oh it was only Russel. He hasn't fought anyone of quality yet. That's what they say because their boxing IQ is in the 70s.

What I find strange is that Tanks opponents are actually regressing in quality. It should be the other way around.

Any boxing fan knows unless a fighter is promoting himself. Then believe they have no say so. And I'm sure Davis has no problem with Floyd's statement. Saves a lot of face.
