A draw, 6 rounds a piece.

Spinks did better than expected early with high activity, but paid for it later as he tired and Karmazin came on.

A couple close rounds could really see the fight swing a round either way, but I think a draw was the right result.

i had karmazin winning rounds 2,6,9,10,11,12
      spinks winning 1,3,4,5,8
      and an even round 7

      115-114 karmazin

i would have been happy with a draw. not a spinks win

everyone should take note of this post because this guy swung the fight in Karmazin's favor every way possible and still only had him winning by a point. round 6 was a close round I also gave to karmazin. round 7 was a Spinks round. never score even rounds unless there are point deductions or knockdowns. even if you give Karmazin round 6, a draw is the most fitting result. a close win for either would have been acceptable, a draw would have been best. problem is, most people only remember the last 3-4 rounds, which Karmazin dominated.

            Once again, WRONG.

Judges score even rounds occasionally, and you're NO ONE to be telling people how they can and can't score fights.

holy crap... what was Manfred (3rd judge) watching!!! He gave the last 2 rounds to Spinks:

Entering the final round of Saturday night's IBF jr middleweight showdown in St, Louis, Cory Spinks was narrowly ahead on all three official cards. Judge Melvina Lathan had Spinks up by three points, while judges Jerry Griffin and Manfred Kuchler both had Spinks ahead by one point. So if Roman Karmazin had managed to win round twelve, he would have retained his title by majority draw. The last round appeared to clearly be Karmazin's round and both judges Griffin and Lathan saw it for Karmazin, however Kuchler scored the round for Spinks, giving the hometown hero with the margin he needed for victory. Click here to see the official master scorecard.

In case you missed it, Spinks-Karmazin will be replayed for the first time on SHO Extreme Monday night at 11PM ET/PT.

i had it a draw, it was a close fight but it seemed as if Karmazin was holding back, he was a lot more active in his last couple of fights, but at the same time his opponents were standing right in front of him. it was a good game plan by Spinks to move, which he always does, but it was effective enough i guess........

Spinks should grant him a rematch.
