  • Comments Thread For: Wilder: Joshua is Trying To Milk The UK, After Next Fight I'm Ready

WBC heavyweight world champion Deontay Wilder (40-0-1, 39 KOs) is very motivated to become the driving force to bring boxing back in a major way. He believes the heavyweight division has been exploding in recent years, and because of that the entire sport has been elevated after declining in popularity for quite some time.

Turned down how many offers to unify now ?

Fury wins division moves on and he'll never be heard of again.

If Deontay makes it past Fury then I feel he is sincere about fighting Joshua next if the terms are right. I do wish though that Wilder would season his comments with some humility as it would make him much more likeable.

Deontay you’re going to enrage the British ultra-nationalists with this kind of talk! You know they want you to walk with your head down and drag your feet like a slave...

          Low ball offers.
Whyte turned down their offer as well.

after next fight, if the judges aren't paid you'd be without a belt and back down in the pecking order

And Wilder turned down Whytes offers too. Deontay trys to pick off the old or ring rusty instead of boxers in their prime.

AJ's biggest win that he survived, was against and old inactive past its prime fighter. Just because he beat guys with belts, doesn't mean those belt holders were top HWs. Those belt holders decided to fight AJ instead of Wilder because of the payday.
