The difference is, Lomachenko fought a top P4P fighter who everyone demanded Lomachenko fight/kept bashing him as ducking Rigo.

Davis, on the other hand, is fighting a career 122 lber with multiple losses at/under 122 lbs, who wasn't even a top fighter there.

Loma has only fought one other smaller man, being Marriaga. This was only 2 fights after he moved up from 126 (which he could have kept making) to 130.


Needless to say, Davis bringing up Loma when nobody mentions him is sad. He's trying to play the, "why he get special treatment and I don't", which is ridiculous, especially since he was the one who ducked Lomachenko.

Yeah, he probably realized it was a bad look when he ducked that fight and couldn't even intelligently explain the duck in a way that would make his gullable fans believe that he didn't duck it. Now he's taken to talking crap about the dude he had a chance to prove himself against whilst sticking to his diet of fighting almost exclusively against fighters moving up one or two divisions, coming off losses that aren't even near the top of their own divisions.

I was offered free tickets when the opponent was Mares and declined. This? I wouldn't even watch if if was in my living room unless someone paid me well for it.

He's obsessed. It's true that Lomachenko has fought two smaller guys in Marriaga and Rigo. For some reason Rigo and his fans/Loma haters demanded and begged for that fight and at least Rigo was #1 in his own division and undefeated. Marriaga wasn't a great opponent and nobody said he was. He'd given a good account of himself in a decision loss to Valdez the fight prior though so it's better than the guys Gervonta has picked moving up.

The patsy's Gervonta has faced moving up? Cuellar moving up after a loss and 18 months out the ring, Ruiz, a natural bantamweight, twice KO'd at 122 and Macias who was 4-10 on recent form AND was moving up two divisions. LOL, somehow that was the one that got him his title shot, A title he blew on the scales because he's already outgrown the division but is sticking around to avoid tough opposition and seek out fights with fighters from below the featherweight division.

50% of Tank's championship career is vs. much smaller dudes moving up and one of the others is after deciding not to make weight.

He's the most protected fighter in modern memory. He's trying to live off the Pedraza win and he's throwing shade at dudes far more accomplished than him. Dudes that have proven themselves and proven willing to meet challenges demanded by the public.

Just place him under the protected fraud until he steps up category. I suspect we'll find out what they are hiding as soon as he does too.

he is correct in that Loma beat Rigo when many expressed they thought Loma would win. My only beef is why pretend people called for the fight when it happened when thay didn't.

They wanted the fight much earlier when Rigo had a chance to win.

Walters had the chance at 126 too, turned it down and accepted it for a similar amount at 130. He also got to 130 before Lomachenko too so it's a bit of a myth that he brought Walters up in weight there.

For the record, I do hope that Loma and Davis meet one day at 135 after Davis has established that he's head and shoulders above everyone at 130 and Loma deals with Mikey if Mikey comes back to 35.

Davis is fighting someone who was KO'd at Super Bantamweight more than once. Lomachenko fought one of the p4p ranked undefeated fighters in Rigondeaux who would destroy Ruiz in that same division.

And Just before this fight Davis fought a featherweight in Cuellar who was coming off a loss, coming up in weight and coming off a 2 year lay off.

I got a text message asking. It would have been in press row. It's not a big deal I've gotten them before and I've accepted them before and I've turned them down before. I don't work in the media and to be honest prefer sitting in the crowd with my friends but if nobody wants to go to a fight and I like the fight then I'll take those offers up.

Davis-Mares I personally wouldn't have even watched on TV. I'd rather just go out to the bars or a restaurant earlier rather than waste my time watching it.

Not in the same way. Arum crafted a deal he knew would get rejected. Then Rigo had no real options. Loma gets all credit for the win but just be honest about how it all went down.

Same with walters. Loma gets all credit, but the fight, same as Rigo, occurred well after it was the "hot" fight we all wanted.
