Comments Thread For: Whyte vs. Breazeale The Target For April 20, Says Hearn

For the moment, it appears that Diilian Whyte's U.S. invasion remains limited to several important business meetings and a ringside view for Manny Pacquiao's stateside return. At the very least, however, it caught the attention of the promoter who has guided most of his professional career. The top-rated heavyweight contender from England by way of Jamaica has seen his name floated as a leading candidate for an April 13 showdown with Anthony Joshua, only for that date-and for the moment, the rematch itself-to be dead in the water. Whyte has sensed as much in recent weeks, taking issues with the offers presented by longtime promoter Eddie Hearn and instead opting to explore other options which led to his U.S. business trip.

I would actually give DB a shot, if Parker could almost knock Whyte out, the big bum might actually have a chance in this fight.

Smart move in this tactical game of chess. If Whyte wins, Wilder can’t very well fight Brezeale after Fury II, so it starts to move the pieces back in his favour.

Breazeale is already Wilder's mando, and he could lose that position by fighting Whyte.

But Haymon and the WBC don't seem willing to give him a shot at Wilder, and he would make more money fighting Dillian anyway.

Interesting fight. Whyte should be the favorite looking at their resumes. Sometimes Breazeale looks like he sleepwalks through his fights but his battle with Ugonoh showed he can dig deep and get out a win. I thought Whyte was struggling with Del Boy before that brutal KO. Both are big boys and they can put some power on punches. I could see this as slow paced affair until a single shot leads to a sudden ending.

Whyte and Hearn wish they could pull that off. Povetkin and Ortiz KO Whyte and Ortiz is unavailable anyway. Whyte already ducked Pulev. I favor Parker in a rematch.

Good Scrap if it happens. Of course it's not a huge deal but still a decent fight nonetheless!!
